Hazard Mitigation Planning Survey

Dear Hazard Mitigation Planning Partners,

It is required that stakeholders and the general public be given opportunities to be involved in the planning process. Given the circumstances associated with COVID (i.e., lack of public meetings and opportunities for interaction with the public and other stakeholders) we are completing this effort via surveys. 

At a minimum, the stakeholders that must be included in the planning process include neighboring communities, local and regional agencies involved in hazard mitigation activities, and agencies that have the authority to regulate development, as well as businesses, academia, cultural institutions, other private and nonprofit organization and neighborhood groups. The county will ensure neighboring communities receive this, but we look to you to ensure that additional appropriate stakeholders are included, particularly those active in your community.
