2020 Grievance Day Information

Due to COVID-19 pandemic we will be making some changes to the May 27, 2020 Grievance Day. 

The Assessor's office will not hold in person meetings with property owners or their representatives during the 2020 assessment grievance period. Appointments can be made for phone or digital meetings. Appointments will be held on Wednesdays during the month of May.  Please leave a message for Mike McGuire at 518-895-8920 or email Mike at mmcguire@duanesburg.net to schedule an appointment.

The Town of Duanesburg will hold our Board of Assessment Review meeting on Wednesday May 27, 4:00-8:00pm.  To minimize potential exposure to COVID-19 appointments will be necessary to attend the BAR meeting.  Contact Mike to schedule an appointment.  The BAR meeting will be held in the town hall meeting room. 

For 2020, we will accept applications that are emailed, mailed through the USPS or hand delivered.  If you will be hand delivering your application please make an appointment before visiting the town hall.  Please submit all completed grievance applications to Mike.  Make sure to include any supporting documentation.  Mailed applications have to be received by May 27th.

It is not required for you to speak with the BAR.  They will review your application and supporting documentation.  There is no penalty for not speaking with the BAR.  The BAR’s determinations will be sent out by USPS on or before July 1, 2020.
