The Board reviewed the application submitted by Gary Courtright of 282 Batter Street, Pattersonville, seeking a side and rear yard variance to construct a 30 foot by 40 foot pole barn on his property. This property consists of the combining of two adjoining pre-existing undersized lots on the same deed, but still does not meet the District minimum lot size. Mr. Courtright pointed out that the right-of-way ends where his driveway is currently. Wendy Graves made a motion to set a Public Hearing on this application for Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 7:30 pm in the Town Hall. Pat Payst seconded. There will be a Christmas Party at noon on December 15th in the Town Hall for Town employees. Please call Leah Lennon if planning to attend.

The Town has hired a part time planner to also assist the ZBA and Planning Board.

The issue of when alternates vote or not vote has not been fully resolved and the Board is still looking for more information.

The Board discussed the changes to the application cover letter. Wendy Graves made a motion to accept these changes. Carl Wiedemann seconded. Member Graves, aye, Member Wiedemann, aye, Member Uveges, aye, Member Rudesheim, aye, Member Martratt, aye, Member Payst, aye, Chairperson Wall, aye.

The Board received a memo from the UCEO stating the National Weather Service has proposed installing an unmanned weather station at the Duanesburg Airport. The proposed tower is shorter than the 35 foot height limitation. Chairperson Wall will submit a reply stating the Board has no objection to this installation.

Mark Peterson approached the Board for information concerning locating a construction and excavating business in a residential district. He would store and repair his vehicles and equipment there and sell small amounts of crushed stone and soil. That type of business is not allowed per the current Ordinance.

Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
