The Board was made aware of a new Schenectady County Web site. This site contains aerial views and real property tax information. It is a password protected site available to Town Board, Planning Board, and Zoning Board members as well as certain Town employees. Basic onsite training will be looked into for members of the various Boards.
Discussion was held concerning incomplete applications and possible solutions. Agenda meetings, hiring a part time person to screen for application completeness, or the use of the County Website for aerial pictures of the site were discussed. The Board expressed concern on keeping the variance process from becoming intimidating to the applicants.
There is a Planning and Zoning Conference at Lake Placid on September 19th to the 22nd. Information is available for any one who is interested in attending.
Meeting adjourned at 9:22 p.m.
