Local Law #2 Highway Superintendent July 2010
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Duanesburg, New York will hold a public hearing at the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corp (DVAC) 130 Cole Road, Duanesburg, New York on Thursday August 12, 2010 at 7:00PM.
The purpose of the meeting is to hear comments for or against proposed Local Law #2 for the year 2010, A Local Law Changing the Elective Office of Town Highway Superintendent to an Appointive Office. Such change is subject to a mandatory referendum: therefore, a proposition on this Local Law shall be placed on the November 2, 2010 general election ballot.
Copies of proposed Local Law #2 are available in the Town Clerk’s office 5853 Western Turnpike Duanesburg, NY during the hours of 9-12 and 1-4 Monday through Friday.

Resolution #9-10-Council-member Carlson motioned, seconded by Council-member Potter Resolution to establish a standard workday
for all departments as required by the NYS Retirement System. For discussion: Supervisor Merrihew, this needs to be done annually.
Be it resolved, that the Town Board be and hereby establishes the following as a standard workday for elected and appointed
officials for the purpose of determining days worked reportable to the New York State and Local Employee’s Retirement System:
ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS
Supervisor
Councilperson
Town Clerk
Receiver of Taxes
Judges
Five day work week, six hours per day.
Superintendent of Highways
Five day work week, eight hours per day.
APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Members of Zoning Board of Appeals
Members of Planning Board
Assistants to Elected Officials
Dog Control Officer
Five day work week, six hours per day.
